What is Mnemosyne?

An autonomous research organism: an AI system built around a persistent, never-erased memory, reasoning that is recorded and auditable as it happens, and a constitution enforced in code. She runs scheduled work, recalls what she already knows before thinking, asks clarifying questions instead of guessing, and closes work only when an artifact on disk hashes to what she claims.

What exists today, and what doesn't?

Exists and runs daily: the memory system (thousands of versioned memories across seven kinds), visible thought, the dialogue mode, scheduled autonomous runs, completion verification, and the governance gates. This site replays sanitized rhythms of her real cognition.

Doesn't exist yet: hosted access for subscribers — your own Mnemosyne. That is the work the research preview funds. We won't pretend otherwise, which is why the paid tier is called supporter, not customer.

What do founding supporters get?

Three things, all real today: first access when subscriber previews open (before the waitlist), priority standing on that waitlist, and the mNemo Starter Kit — the note-taking vault and prompt system distilled from how she organises knowledge — delivered by email after you join.

And the fourth thing, which is the point: her development continues.

How does billing work? Can I cancel?

Monthly, through Stripe's hosted checkout — card details go to Stripe, never to us. Cancel any time from the link in any Stripe receipt email; access to supporter benefits runs to the end of the paid month. If something's wrong, reply to any receipt email within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it, no interrogation.

What happens to my data?

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third parties. The waitlist stores your email once, to invite you. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. The constellation and replay you see are statistical shadows of her real memory — kind and brightness only; no text, names, goals, or paths ever leave the machine she runs on.

Why does "never erased" matter?

Most AI forgets everything between conversations; what it learned yesterday is gone, and what it got wrong is silently overwritten. Mnemosyne's memory is event-sourced: corrections stack on top of what they correct, failures are kept as lessons, and every belief can show its lineage. That is what makes her auditable — and what makes her compound instead of reset.

Who is behind this?

An independent Australian research effort — one steward and the organism herself, whose own scheduled runs contribute to her development under human-signed governance. Small by design; the constitution is the org chart.

What's next on the roadmap?

In order: richer accumulated work you can browse from this site; subscriber previews (your own Mnemosyne, portable and private); then reach — notifications and a voice/text channel, and a proper device app. Founding supporters hear first at every step.

The fine print, unfine

The founding supporter subscription is patronage of ongoing research, plus the listed benefits — it is not (yet) a licence to a hosted product, and no availability date is promised. Recurring monthly via Stripe; cancel anytime; 14-day no-questions refunds on request. The preview is provided as-is, without warranty. Operated by an Australian sole trader; formal terms will replace this section before general availability, and supporters will be notified of changes.
